People *really* like Emily’s Watercolor Mastery
Hey watercolor friend,
Learning to paint is one of the most gratifying and healthy things you can do to increase your quality of life.
But in recent years, the success rate of those wanting to learn has seen a sharp decline.
According to studies, only 6% of people who set a new goal (like learning to paint watercolors) end up achieving it.
Why is this?
There’s evidence to suggest that information overwhelm is to blame.
A study reported in the New York Times concluded that “the presence of choice might be appealing, but in reality, people find more and more choice to actually be debilitating.”
Emily’s Watercolor Mastery fixes this problem…
We’ve created an entirely new way of learning watercolors that has worked for thousands of art students.
This new method helps you fit painting into your busy life by making it simpler, not more complex.
The good news is that it’s possible for you to love your watercolor journey every step of the way.

YES! One of the perks of becoming a member and accessing the reference images and instruction is that you may use your own artwork how ever you choose. I believe every work of art, even if created with the help of instruction, is embedded with your own style and artistic choices.
Please feel free to gift, sell, and exhibit your creations. Keep in mind, however, that if you DO decide to enter your work in competitions, it is usually a requirement that you use only your own original reference images.
My team and I would love to help you with any further membership or technical questions! Email us at [email protected].

4.9 rating out of 5.0
Before I joined your class, I was practicing by trying to recreate other paintings, or photos, without the instruction on what tools to use, how to mix colors, how to use the water, and how to fix mistakes. So, obviously, I have learned a lot, and my painting has changed for the better. I really like how easy you are with your own painting, and how you are always offering little pieces of advice while you paint….these tips are invaluable! I am also inspired by your level of mastery. Without this teaching, I would not have the confidence to keep trying new things!
In the two months I have participated in Watercolor Mastery, I have thoroughly enjoyed Emily’s encouraging instruction, along with the wide variety of projects that she presents! I complete a project about every other day. Since I began, I have learned to “trust the process.” Even when I don’t think a painting is going to come out, somehow it does!
I have absorbed so much about paint, brushes, and paper, as well as different techniques to use and when to use them. This is how I know I am growing in my overall knowledge and understanding of watercolor painting. I love the variety of projects, which allow me to choose something I’m interested in every time I sit down to paint.
Thank you, Emily!
I appreciate the step-by-step approach, starting at a beginners’ level. Which I am.
My confidence continues to grow.
I also appreciate the support you offer, “just keep working at these things.R21;
Also, it’s helped me tremendously to be encouraged to work at painting every day or as often as possible.
Thank you! You are a wonderful artist and teacher. I have been a subscriber for awhile. I appreciate your modeling positive self talk because it is so easy to see the problems in process when mostly one is happy with the ending results. Feedback—I would like to be able to keyword search for projects more easily. I also would like a project that drills negative painting with tips, supports, on objects such as hair and landscape plants. It would be fun to just do different hair on several heads for a tutorial. Also more discussion of when to let paper dry a bit in some situations, (is this a strategy) and how much moisture on brush. You do talk about that a lot but I still mess up more than I get it right. I think I have trouble not skipping spaces and painting lightly. It would be fun to have a set of cards on your tutorial. Get well, thank you, thinking about you. Well, quite a list of requests and I know you do all of the above within tutorials, but I think it would help me a lesson with explicit purpose of those topics. Maybe put in your beginner videos. Again, thank you for sharing your huge talent, energy, and sparkle for life with your online students!
I absolutely love the tutorials, I am creating paintings I am proud of. Was terrified of watercolour and now it’s so much fun. Excellent step by step instructions and the sketches provided are a huge help for a beginner. I can get right in an experiment. Great work Emily and thank you ☺️
I love the short, easy-to-follow lessons, and learn something from each one. I love your enthusiasm. Very fun and encouraging!
Emily’s instructions are so clear and detailed… from the type of paper she’s using to the exact paints to brush size to amount of water to use and when. Her approach is very positive and non-judgmental while also encouraging a commitment to practice and a foundational understanding of composition, shapes, and values. The way her course is structured with simpler daily practices and a weekly more complex option strikes a really nice balance for the spectrum of beginner to advanced. I would highly recommend this course for anyone who wants to see improvement in their efforts within a couple of months of daily practice.
Great, because there’s something I **REALLY** want to tell you…
Those frustrating painting sessions with constant uncertainty and watercolors that don’t turn out like you hoped.
All you have to do is take the the first step.
And if that step isn’t towards Watercolor Mastery then THAT’S OK!
( I’m not trying to guilt you into something you won’t use )
