I am learning how to take an image and simplify it so that I can paint 4×6 watercolor cards to send people. I have enjoyed painting and intend to continue painting your animals. The horses have been my favorite so far, because of the planes in their faces and their amazing musculature. Fortunately, I’ve owned horses so everything makes sense, but I never thought I’d paint them successfully. As a side note, my botanicals are pretty awful. Thank you for introducing me to new techniques so pleasantly and thoroughly!

I find that if I watch a certain challenge a few times before I paint it it helps a lot. Otherwise I do a lot of pausing. My issue was always to hurry, and also use way too much paint.
