YES! One of the perks of becoming a member and accessing the reference images and instruction is that you may use your own artwork how ever you choose. I believe every work of art, even if created with the help of instruction, is embedded with your own style and artistic choices.
Please feel free to gift, sell, and exhibit your creations. Keep in mind, however, that if you DO decide to enter your work in competitions, it is usually a requirement that you use only your own original reference images.
My team and I would love to help you with any further membership or technical questions! Email us at [email protected].
More Of What Our Members Are Saying…
4.9 rating out of 5.0
Before joining this class, I had lost confidence in painting and was terrified to start again. Watching the tutorials with Emily explaining everything she did and even correcting some minor mistahlkes ( not that I could see any)! Gave me the confidence to set an art space up agsin and have another go. I can’t tell you how good this has been for my mental health and I am able to laugh at some of my over painted monstrous pieces!! But I know that every time you try a painting, you learn something new. Thank you Emily so so much ❤️
I am just starting this course, but really love it. The 30 days to mastery have really helped to build my skills and to help me understand how to use my paints; what consistency is best for what. And, also, how wet the paper should be, when to use wet on dry, etc.
I love the feature that slows down the video, so I can keep up.
Looking forward to learning more and more and improving my skills as an artist
I’m a beginner, but have dabbled and experimented for 6 months. I started Watercolor Mastery 30 a little over a week ago and loved every bit of it. I’m much more clear on color mixing and swatching. I’ve developed a habit of “brush miles”, and can’t wait to start painting as soon as I’m awake! Your email encouragement every day was what I needed to not overthink or worry about if I have the right colors, etc., but just pick up that brush and paint! Without watercolor mastery I don’t think I’d be painting at all. It gave me the gentle nudge I needed to get on the easy lane to feeling successful!
I think the instructions are excellent, steps are well explained, and I love having a pattern for projects like animals that are a little more difficult to draw. I do think the instructions are given a little fast for someone just getting started and it would be best to have them watch the video first before beginning to paint.
I was loving the daily painting until I fell on Jan 2. I have a compound fracture of my right arm and I am unable to draw or paint. Eventually I will need physical therapy, so it will be a long time before I can continue my W C journey with you. My last painting is the tango dancers and I love it. Thank you for all you do to make painting fun.
My sketching skills have improved. I have trouble keeping up with how fast Emily paints! I am blown away at how she can “make suggestions” with her brush that totally succeed in making such realistic features.
I have tried slowing the video down, but that isn’t as helpful as I had hoped. I think watching all the way through and then going back will be helpful. Maybe stopping the video after small stretches of painting. Sometimes, I think I might try to just look at the reference photo after watching Emily’s technique and color choices. I haven’t had a lot of paintings that I really like so far. I am trying to trust that I will improve if I persevere.
My wet on wet is finally getting better. Sooo much to remember when using this technique.
One of the things I like best about Emily is that she encourages a lot. Stresses not to compare, to be kind to ourselves, and to keep painting. Not comparing and being kind to myself are definitely pitfalls for me. But I really love her style and I want to keep trying.
I really appreciate how Emily just calmly talks you through her process giving little hints that make all of the difference. The most helpful thing I’ve learned is to blot my brush to dry it when working with wet-on-wet. Before, I always got frustrated because the color just blended into to background. Thank you! I also love the variety of subjects and techniques. It pushed me to move out of my comfort zone in a safe space.
Great, because there’s something I **REALLY** want to tell you…
Those frustrating painting sessions with constant uncertainty and watercolors that don’t turn out like you hoped.
All you have to do is take the the first step.
And if that step isn’t towards Watercolor Mastery then THAT’S OK!
( I’m not trying to guilt you into something you won’t use )
